EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
The Surgery Center at Cranberry shall not fail or refuse to hire
or to discharge any individual, or otherwise to discriminate against any
individual with respect to his compensation, terms, conditions or privileges of
employment because of such individual’s race, color, religion, sex or national
origin.
The Center shall not limit, segregate or classify employees or applicants for
employment in any way that would deprive or tend to deprive any individual of
employment opportunities or otherwise adversely affect his or her status as an
employee, because of such individual’s race, color, religion, sex or national
origin.
The Center shall not hire, fire or otherwise adversely affect the employment
status of an individual because of pregnancy.
The Center shall not discriminate on the basis of age for persons who are at
least 40 years of age, unless where age is a bona fide occupational
qualification reasonably necessary to normal operations.
The Center shall not discriminate between employees on the basis of sex by
paying unequal wages to men and women who perform equal work on jobs that
require equal skill, effort and responsibility and that are performed under
similar working conditions. An exception exists for payment made pursuant to a
seniority system, a merit system, and a system that measures earnings by
quantity or quality of production, or a differential based on any factor other
than sex.
The Center shall not discriminate against persons with disabilities who, with
reasonable accommodation, can perform the essential functions of a job. An
exception exists if the Center can demonstrate that such accommodation would
impose undue hardship.
The Center shall not retaliate against any employee because the employee has
opposed practices made unlawful under the above laws or filed a charge,
testified, assisted or participated in an investigation, proceeding or hearing.
